We would like to congratulate Brayden Burgess from PB Quality Constructions who has been recognised as the 2022 HIA Jim Brookes Australian Apprentice winner during the 2022 HIA–CSR Australian Housing Awards on the 23rd of April. Stratco are proud to partner with HIA in supporting this award and the ongoing development of Australian apprentices. This award acknowledges his outstanding skill set and demonstrated potential in the construction industry.
PB Quality Constructions have been hosting Brayden’s carpentry apprenticeship since 2017. His eagerness to learn and motivation towards the role has been praised by his colleagues and the judges alike.
Brayden has shown his commitment to learning as much as he can. Once a high achiever in school, he has since completed his certificate IV in Building & Construction whilst also gaining his Bachelor of Construction Management at university. His approach to learning and his forward thinking on the worksite has propelled Brayden to where he is today. He is an effective leader who takes pride in a high standard of workmanship, something which is applauded by his colleagues. Brayden’s approach towards work, his skills and his personality make him a great member of the PB Quality Constructions team.
The HIA Jim Brookes Australian Apprentice award, celebrates the achievements of future tradespeople. The award was named after Jim Brookes, an avid supporter of young people and their training in the industry. The award recognises excellent trade knowledge, quality building work and solid trade school results.
